**? About You: ?**
Hold a Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, Youth Work, Social Work or similar
Minimum of 6 months experience in Residential Youth Services
Australian Drivers Licence (P2 or higher)
Working with Children Check
Can provide availability to work across AM/PM/Active night shifts
The ability to work a mixture of day, night and weekend shifts as required
Has or is willing to obtain the following certifications:
- Child Safe Environments (Through Their Eyes) Certificate
- Child Car Restraints Certificate
- Safe Infant Training Certificate
- Current suitable Psychological Assessment
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate
- CPI Safety Intervention Training

As a Residential Youth Worker, you'll be part of something extraordinary. You will provide day-to-day assistance, guidance, support and empowerment to help young people who have experienced trauma and neglect in out-of-home care under the Guardianship of the Chief Executive, Department for Child Protection (DCP).

Your responsibilities will include:
- Establish a secure and nurturing home environment for at-risk young people
- Offer guidance and support with personal care requirements including meal assistance and hygiene routines
- Provide transportation for school, appointments and community activities
- Foster the development of skills and socialisation within the local community, alongside promoting positive pro-social peer interactions
- Support in the administration of medications and associated reporting requirements for children on Child Protection orders
- Provide trauma-informed care to young people who display complex behavioural issues and traumatic backgrounds
- Engage in the Trauma Recovery practice framework
