We are partnering with a well-established industrial solutions provider to appoint a Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across Victoria.
This is a true hunter role, suited to someone who enjoys being out in the field, opening doors, and creating opportunities rather than managing a static account list.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will operate as an individual contributor, supported by technical specialists and internal sales resources.
Your focus will be approximately 70% new business development and 30% account and opportunity development, with strong growth potential in:
* Wood and timber manufacturing
* Metal fabrication and welding environments
You will also engage customers across food production, education, marine, composites, and chemical applications.
Key responsibilities
* Proactive prospecting through site visits, cold outreach, phone, and email
* Building a pipeline across capital solutions, parts, and service offerings
* Identifying customer needs and positioning tailored technical solutions
* Bringing engineers into opportunities when system design is required
* Selling service agreements and preventative maintenance solutions
* Maintaining accurate CRM activity and pipeline reporting
About You
* Proven experience in business development or new business sales
* Comfortable with cold calling, face-to-face selling, and rejection
* Experience selling technical or complex solutions (industry experience helpful, not essential)
* Strong follow‐up, objection handling, and pipeline discipline
* Self‐motivated, energetic, and commercially minded
* Australian working rights and a current driver's licence

Base pay range
A$115,000.00/yr - A$150,000.00/yr
Package
Salary around $125K + super + car, opportunity to scale up based on experience.
Annual bonus structure, with incentives commencing from 85% of target.
