In your role, you will:
- Supervise and coach the Material Handlers
- Monitor sustaining activities, projects, and levels of customer service (e.g., performance metrics) for buyer / planner functions and report status, issues, and risks to management on a scheduled basis.
- Perform supervisor responsibilities and recommend related actions, for example, hire/fire, disciplinary actions, PMP, training and certifications, work assignments, scheduling leave, and monitoring attendance.
- Adhere to Bombardiers Maintenance Organization Procedures, among which the relevant parts of the MOE and applicable work instructions.
- Be responsible for the issuance of company tooling to technical staff.
- Be responsible for dealing with freighting goods in and out of the facility and dealing with issues related to import / export clearance instructions with our carriers to avoid any hold up in delivery.
- Oversee sourcing and vendor selection for aircraft parts, components, material, and/or related services.
- Administer vendor and carrier contracts to ensure provision of agreed upon services and products.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, errors, and payment issues.
- Meet with vendors and carriers to discuss and resolve performance issues, for example, delivery, quality, and quantity and measure their performance and perform a yearly re-evaluation of all core
- suppliers.
- Oversee the timely receipt and storage of parts, materials and tooling needed to service customer aircraft.
- Be responsible for the monitoring and arrangement of calibrating company tooling, assisted by the quality department.
- Review, revise, and develop processes and guidelines in support of Handler functions to support the wider department.
- Monitor and escalate any material related delivery issues / component discrepancies to the Operations Manager that will have an impact on the timely maintenance and aircraft return to service and discuss the solution/actions.
- Correctly manage the stock and inventory issues.
- Perform quarterly and annual salary reviews.
- Inform all involved concerning AOG's and due date/time during the stand-up meeting in stores and monitor the progress of the deliveries.
- Ensure all incoming parts are accepted with the documentation required by regulation - If not liaise with buyers / vendor to procure it.
- Ensure all the POs are GR's.
- Ensure all the parts are RTS before the WP will become TECO.
- Ensure all the parts are counted as required monthly by the Network and entry correctly in the system - level of Operational Accuracy must be guaranteed.
- Ensure proper demolishing of scrapped parts.
- Ensure that tooling and equipment is available and is maintained to the defined standard and calibrated.
- Ensure Core and O/D are managed correctly, avoiding aging/supplier Fees.
- Take part monthly to the Network Material Dashboard and ensure target set for the Stockroom are met.

- Must have previous experience in a similar role, leading a large workforce with 5 years' experience.
- You have a bachelor's degree (or work level) in Purchasing and/or Inventory Management
- You have several years of experience in purchasing, warehouse, stockroom, and/or material handling role.
- You have Basic knowledge of aircraft parts and terminology.
- You have knowledge on, and practicing of, human factors, human performance, and limitations.
- You have knowledge of and experience with logistics processes.
- You have knowledge on EWIS and CDCCL when relevant (e.g., tooling requirements)
- You have interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments, customers, vendors, and management
- You have working knowledge of Part-42, Part-145 and any other relevant regulations.
- You have training in 'Road Transport/Awareness ADR' (Dangerous Goods), if a suitable qualification is not currently held you will be required to undertake Dangerous Goods training and successful completion of the required qualifications to carry out acceptance and packaging of Dangerous Goods items into and out of the facility.
- You have previous experience with SAP.
