Become a part of the GWEO Systems Division in the Department of Defence as an APS 5 Logistics Officer and dive into the exciting field of guided weapons and explosive ordnance.
In this important position, your responsibilities will include:
* Helping with complicated logistics inventory and asset management tasks.
* Implementing integrated logistics support techniques.
* Using risk management to enhance operations.
* Assisting with financial documents and budgets.
* Draft responses to briefs and reports on logistics management.
* Participate in the review and development of policies, procedures and processes.

Note: This position will be required to access US export controlled materiel and therefore applicants will be requested to disclose any dual citizenship with another country during the recruitment process. Dual citizens may be subject to further assessment and appointment to this position will be conditional upon approval to access US controlled export material in accordance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
About our Team
GWEO is the newest Group in Defence and we are growing a team of dedicated employees performing activities such as requirements setting; contracting; procurement; international logistics; domestic manufacturing; item management and maintenance, and co-ordination of disposal.
GWEO Systems Division is responsible for the GWEO capability life cycle. This includes the acquisition, sustainment and disposal of all guided weapons and explosive ordnance for Defence.
The division is also responsible for:
* Maintenance of explosive ordnance
* Developing the Australian Defence Force Weapons Capability Roadmap
* Overseeing the remediation of GWEO preparedness
* Enabling capability elements.
Our team is made up of various disciplines (including engineering, project management, commercial, logistics, and business enabling services). We are located in several locations across ACT, NSW, VIC and QLD and our focus is to acquire and sustain guided weapons and munitions for the Australian Defence Force.
