About The Role
As a Legal Support Administrator you will play a key role in supporting the Insurance Law & Litigation Group – one of Australia's leading insurance law practices. The position arose from an internal promotion, reflecting the firm's commitment to career development.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and format legal documents and correspondence.
* Proofread and edit documents for accuracy, consistency and legal standards.
* Liaise with medical practitioners to request and obtain relevant clinical records for litigation cases.
* Send digital requests for medical records, maintain organised records of requested and received documents, and adhere to legal and privacy requirements.
* Review and diarise court orders and legal documents to identify important dates.
* Assist in the preparation of invoices and handle invoicing processes using the firm's designated software.
* Provide general administrative support, including file organisation, document retrieval and accurate data entry.
* Maintain accurate records of settlement terms and critical dates, ensure timely payment of settlement funds, and adhere to trust accounting protocols.
* Support lawyers and senior legal staff with ad‐hoc tasks as needed.
About You
* Experience in administrative support.
* Exceptional working knowledge of MS Office, Adobe and document management systems.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to spelling and grammar.
* Proven decision‐making and problem‐solving ability.
* Strong time‐management and organisational skills.
* A diplomatic and consultative approach to influence and manage conflict.
* Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
* Strong team collaboration skills and the ability to lead by example.
