**How will I help?**
As a Consultant in Westpac's Group Strategy team, you will play a key role in driving strategic recommendations that align with the Company's ambition and customer focused outcomes. The Consultant will specialise in data-driven customer and business insights for strategic projects.
Projects will be in a diverse range of topics from new proposition design, organisation optimisation, business improvement, and new strategic opportunity identification. You will be responsible for developing specific strategic solutions for problems as well as working closely with SMEs across the Bank to provide advisory services to business leaders. You will show strong drive and practicality to effectively manage your own work and contribute to the overall outcomes of the team.

**What do I need?**
You will have a strong focus on customer and commercial outcomes, excellent collaboration skills, ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders at different levels of seniority. Additionally, you will have strong learning orientation with commitment to listening and learning from colleagues, experimenting with new ideas and approaches, and keeping up to date with industry news and drivers of change.
You will also have:
- Financial services expertise preferred, but not mandatory
- Strategic thinking skills, defined as the ability to creatively approach and structure complex, potentially unfamiliar issues
- Exceptional analysis skills, complex business modelling skills (preferred)
- Exceptional communication skills both orally and in writing
- Experience in developing slides and storylines for senior management
- Ability to work well within a team environment, develop relationships and share workloads
- Ability to manage to deadlines and deliver on time with high quality
- Strong attention to detail
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve problems
