The School

Kardinya Primary School (KPS) is proud to work in partnership with our local community to educate and develop the children of Kardinya into the good citizens of tomorrow. First established in 1977 and officially opened in 1979, we cater for diverse needs from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our school offers a quality education experience with a focus on the WA Curriculum, the development of the whole child, mindfulness, sustainability, and strong community collaboration.

Strong relational skills, particularly with students and colleagues, are important.

We are ideally looking for a teacher who displays the following:

* A commitment to high-impact, evidence-based pedagogy and knowledge of contemporary whole-school practices suitable for any primary classroom.
* A collaborative mindset and experience with the full teaching, learning, and assessment cycle in partnership with colleagues.
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills that support a positive and respectful school culture.
* Confidence in using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to enhance teaching and communication.

While prior experience with the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) model is not required, understanding or willingness to engage with whole-school behaviour frameworks will be highly regarded.
