About the Role
As Service Engineer you will report to the Service Team Leader. Working as part of a high performing team, you will be responsible for the servicing of a wide range of packaging, inspection and food processing equipment. Our QLD office is based in Mount Gravatt and there is a requirement to complete site work, most sites are in the Brisbane metro area with some intra & interstate travel. We have a team of 4 service technicians in Brisbane with additional technicians in VIC and QLD.
Responsibilities
- Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of a wide range of packaging and food processing equipment.
- Diagnosing and repairing automated packaging, inspection and food processing equipment.
- Maintaining constant communication and updates on job statuses with various stakeholders.
- Compiling installation and service reports.
- Identifying faults or improvement ideas and discuss with engineering to provide high quality solutions for our customers.
- Maintaining strict deadlines for project installations and handovers.
- Providing customer training and support.
About you
To succeed in this role, you are a proactive, reliable, and resilient service professional who has a passion for finding solutions. This role needs to coordinate with internal teams to efficiently deliver service solutions (installation, commissioning, and maintenance) of our leading solutions. Other essential requirements are:
- Trade qualified Fitter Turner or Machinist, ideally with at least 5 years post-trade experience.
- Restricted Electrical Licence/electrical circuit troubleshooting experience will be ideal, but not essential as training will be provided.
- At least 5 years field support experience (preferably with food processing equipment).
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings (AutoCAD experience advantageous).
- Ability to read and interpret pneumatic drawings.
- IT skills and proficient use of MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to interface with HMI/Software on various OEM equipment.
- Excellent and professional customer service skills.
- Detail oriented and skilled in precision adjustments within tight tolerances, ensuring accuracy through validation and quality control.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a willingness to learn new technologies and develop new skills.
- Strong organisation and time management skills.
- A valid Australian Driver and Forklift license.
- Australian Permanent Residency.
