The Role
As a Library Officer, you will supervise the day‐to‐day operations of the library and oversee the provision of reference, information, and associated services to teaching staff and students. You will support staff in selecting resources to ensure the library's collection meets curriculum and recreational needs, promote reading and engagement with literature across the school community, and maintain accurate library records and resources.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for administering library systems, ensuring records are accurate and up to date, processing and maintaining library resources, and making resources readily accessible to students, staff, and parents at all times. You should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, work independently as well as part of a team, and be confident with a range of computer software packages and library management systems.
Eligibility
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with work rights for the term of appointment.
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
