Superannuation & Salary Sacrifice Benefits SA Pharmacy - CALHN Full Time, Contracted Role up to 26 Jun 2026 About the role AHA-3 Under the general direction of the AHA or AHP leader for the designated areas, works at an advanced competency assisting in the provision of a comprehensive pharmacy service to the designated pharmacy unit(s) by providing clinical, dispensing and distribution services, packaging of pharmaceuticals, inventory management, technical training of staff, organisation of daily workloads, monitoring quality of work and/or preparation/manufacturing of pharmaceuticals. This position will work closely with the AHA or AHP supervisor for the area and works towards supporting the Pharmacy manager(s) to ensure the provision of safe and cost-effective drug therapy achieving optimal outcomes for patients. AHA-4 Overall responsibility for leading a team of support staff, intern pharmacist(s) and orientating and training pharmacist(s) and students in the designated area to ensure a quality pharmacy service is delivered. Under the general direction of the Pharmacist responsible for the designated areas the key functions of the role are to: coordinate delivery of high quality and timely service prioritise work of the available human resource to optimise service outcomes act as a point of contact for staff and students and customers of the service undertake practice reviews ensuring staff competence undertake performance review and development of staff provide leadership within the department for the development, review, evaluation and teaching of workplace policies and procedures manage a large and complex workload applying high levels of skills and knowledge across a broad range of activities contribute to and represent the department on hospital and SA Pharmacy Committees may represent SA Pharmacy on Committees. This position will work closely with the Pharmacist responsible for the area and works towards supporting the Pharmacy manager(s) to ensure the provision of safe and cost-effective drug therapy achieving optimal outcomes for patients. About You You are an experienced and motivated pharmacy professional with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for delivering high-quality pharmacy services. Your ability to lead teams, manage workflows, and drive continuous improvement is complemented by excellent communication, organisational and technical skills. You are adaptable, detail-oriented, and dedicated to maintaining safe and effective pharmacy practices. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: A relevant Certificate IV or higher qualification in areas such as Project Management, Leadership, Business Administration, or equivalent. Proven leadership, supervisory and mentoring skills with extensive experience in a hospital pharmacy setting. (AHA4 role requires supervisory and managerial expertise) Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and drive service improvements. Sound knowledge of pharmaceutical products, dispensing methods, the PBS, and pharmacy management systems, with proficiency in technical systems and reporting.
