About us:

Aims to reduce the harm from alcohol and drug use as well as improve the health and wellbeing of our clients, their families, and the community, through the provision of:

Assessment
Counselling
Evidence based treatment services
Brief intervention
Group work
Referrals to other services (AODS Rehabilitation, Inpatient Withdrawal Services)
Queensland Opioid Treatment Program
Police and Court Drug Diversion Programs
Consultation and Liaison (AODS CL CNC – Based at Rockhampton Hospital)
Drug and Alcohol Brief Intervention Team (DABIT) (Rockhampton Hospital Emergency Department)
Primary Needle and Syringe Program (NSP)
Harm Reduction and education activities

About the role:

Deliver high level Psychology clinical services and leadership within AODS and the Court Link program as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders and customers of Queensland Health.
Apply professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols that support the delivery of best practice services in AODS services and the Court Link program.
Collaborate in cross cultural liaison and consultation frameworks with government and non-government service providers to sustain and improve health outcomes in the community.
Provide clinical practice supervision to less experienced practitioners to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards within AODS and the Court Link program.

About you:

Applicants must possess an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited four-year qualification in psychology and general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA).
Post-graduate qualifications in relevant Psychology or addiction courses would be highly regarded, as would PsyBA approved supervisor status.
Demonstrated high level of knowledge, expertise and skill in working with people affected by drug and alcohol issues.
Demonstrated ability to provide psychology clinical services of a complex nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require some expansion, adaptation or modification.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $13,113 p.m. is comprised of:

An hourly rate between $ $69.55 p.h.
12.75% employer superannuation contribution
17.5% leave loading
