DELIVERY DRIVER/KITCHEN ASSISTANT – Permanent Part Time
62 hours per fortnight | 5 days per week

Meals on Wheels Brisbane South has an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Driver / Kitchen Assistant to join our Holland Park service. This role starts early at 6:30 am, allowing you to enjoy your afternoons free. No weekend or night work is required.
Meals on Wheels has been proudly supporting the community for over 70 years, delivering quality meals and services within the aged care sector and to a growing number of clients, including NDIS participants. Within the Brisbane South Aged Care Planning Region, 11 Meals on Wheels services have amalgamated to form Meals on Wheels Brisbane South.
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual who will work closely with our staff, volunteers, and clients. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering meals directly to clients and our other MoW Services as well as assisting in the kitchen before and after delivery runs under the direction of the Head Chef.
The purpose of this position is to support the delivery of Meals on Wheels services in line with organisational policies and procedures, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements, while contributing to efficient operations and positive volunteer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver meals to clients and other Meals on Wheels services as per delivery run sheets, in a professional, courteous, and positive manner
* Pack, transport, and clean eskies
* Assist with kitchen duties, including ingredient preparation, pot washing, stock rotation, plating support, and packing eskies
* Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and hygiene requirements
About You
* Hold a current and valid open Queensland Driver's Licence
* Are a safe and responsible driver who obeys road rules and drives to conditions
* Are physically capable of manual handling tasks, including lifting eskies into vehicles
* Have demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, and manage time effectively with minimal supervision, even under pressure
* Are an enthusiastic, outcome-focused team player who enjoys contributing to a supportive workplace
