We are looking for a Ground Coordinator in Broome to support seamless trip operations. The role covers cleaning, equipment management, basic mechanical servicing, and support for tour leaders.
Responsibilities
In this role you will:
* Clean and prepare buses for trips
* Manage stock and equipment, including inventory and vehicle service tracking
* Support trip preparation and manage trip logisticsPerform basic mechanical servicing under the direction of the mechanic
* Assist in problem solving as issues arise
* Maintain guide house standards, assigning cleaning tasks to leaders
* Monitor depot safety, report hazards, provide fixes, and report back to Ground Manager
* Use strong organizational skills to keep operations running smoothly behind the scenes.
Qualifications
Requirements for the ideal candidate:
* 2 years of experience as a Tour Leader or in an Operations Role
* Solid understanding of trip preparation processes, especially hiking and camping trips
* Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Team player who creates a happy, team-focused environment
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Full medium-rigid driver's licence and ability to drive manual transmissions
* Forklift ticket or ability to obtain one
Working Conditions
This is a permanent, year-round position based at the depot in Broome. You will be required to work weekends as needed and may take days off during the week. Candidates must have their own accommodation.
