Overview
Bluefin is partnering with a major Queensland organisation to recruit a Master Scheduler to support delivery across a large digital and operational portfolio. This role will be responsible for developing an integrated view of schedules, mapping key dependencies, uplifting scheduling capability, and ensuring digital project sequencing aligns with broader operational and maintenance activities. This is a 12-month Brisbane-based day rate contract with flexible hybrid working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain an integrated portfolio schedule covering digital initiatives and operational activities.
* Develop a clear dependency register, mapping links between projects, operational cycles, and planned works.
* Define and implement standard scheduling frameworks, templates, and naming conventions across delivery teams.
* Work closely with project managers, operations, maintenance planning, and capital teams to identify and resolve sequencing issues.
* Assess scheduling risks, constraints, and site-based impacts; provide recommendations to mitigate delivery or timing conflicts.
* Support capability uplift by developing processes, tools, and training to embed consistent scheduling practices.
Experience
* Extensive experience in portfolio, program, or master scheduling across complex multi-disciplinary environments (digital and/or operational).
* Experience with maintenance shutdown planning, utilities, or asset-heavy industries is highly regarded.
* Strong background in dependency mapping, integrated schedules, sequencing, and coordinating large delivery portfolios.
* Proficiency in tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar scheduling and reporting systems.
* Skilled in facilitating workshops and working with diverse stakeholder groups to surface and resolve scheduling conflicts.
* Strong analytical capability with experience preparing visual schedule insights and executive-level reports.
* Understanding of Agile delivery and how iterative work aligns with traditional scheduling frameworks.
* Demonstrated experience uplifting scheduling standards, governance, or PMO capability.
