Leading Australian Financial Service organisation experiencing rapid growth are looking for a Network Security Engineer to play a pivotal role in Network Automation initiatives.
Role Overview
As a Network Security Engineer, you bring deep expertise in low-level design and implementation of network services, with strong hands-on experience across Juniper SRX firewalls, F5 load balancers, and Cisco switching.
Key Responsibilities:
You will play a key role as part of a design team for Network Services, collaborating closely with build/implementation teams on key project initiatives that have huge implications for the business.

Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on expertise with next-gen firewalls (Juniper SRX, Fortigate), including configuration, builds, routing, and security policy compliance.
- Skilled in developing low-level design documents for enterprise security architectures.
- Experienced in F5 load balancing (LTM, GTM, APM) design, build, and implementation.
- Proficient in enterprise switching/routing (BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, VTP, BFD) and IPS/IDS configuration and analysis.
- Familiar with logging platforms (Elastic, Splunk) and monitoring tools (Netscout, SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, Accedian).
- Practical automation and scripting experience with Python, JSON, and Ansible.
- Strong communicator, able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
