Role Overview
You'll be joining the world‐class team at Domain, backed by the global strength and innovative technology of CoStar Group. We are on the hunt for an Architectural Photographer to create stunning, high‐quality photos and videos using cutting‐edge gear. Your media will be vital. Australian renters, homebuyers, and commercial real estate professionals rely on CoStar and Domain to market their properties and spot opportunities. With millions visiting our sites each month, your creative work will directly drive property transactions every single day.
Key Responsibilities
* Use architectural photography expertise to produce interior and exterior media of residential houses, apartments, office, industrial, and retail properties.
* Produce engaging videos that showcase standout features of residential and commercial properties.
* Capture Matterport 3D scans of properties to create interior and exterior walk‐through tours.
* Generate Gaussian splat views of residential and commercial properties using drones where possible.
* Create compelling exterior media for suburbs, parks and schools.
* Use a variety of professional‐grade tools to create visually appealing media.
* Travel up to a week per month as required by business needs.
* Utilise time of day, season and location to determine best photographic opportunities.
* Edit all photography and video in a timely fashion, delivering completed projects.
* Communicate professional and effectively with clients during shoots, including scheduling and on‐site interactions.
* Continue learning and development of craft, staying up to date on new techniques and technology.
* Participate in team meetings to address business challenges and promote collaboration.
Basic Qualifications
* Demonstrable experience as a professional real‐estate photographer or similar.
* Portfolio of real‐estate and lifestyle media (exterior, interior, drone preferred).
* Minimum of a School Certificate or equivalent.
* 2+ years professional real‐estate photography and videography experience (or recent graduate with photography concentration).
* Full understanding of manual camera settings and lighting.
* Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro) and experience using Mac OS and Microsoft Office.
* Must hold a current CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) or be willing to obtain it within 6 weeks of joining, including completion of CASA‐approved training and certification.
Physical and Travel Requirements
* Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 12 kg.
* Must hold a current, valid Australian driver's licence and be able to hire a car for work travel.
* Must drive up to 2 hours at a time, and work outdoors in all seasons.
* Occasional night and weekend work required (rotating roster).
* Must have a satisfactory driving record check.
Preferred Qualifications
* Enjoys challenges of photographing buildings and suburbs, finds creative solutions.
* Strong relationship‐building skills; able to develop strong personal relationships with key contacts.
* Flexible and adaptable with excellent multi‐tasking and time‐management skills.
* Experience working in fast‐paced environments.
* Commercial drone photography experience desirable.
* Ability to capture and edit beautiful interior and exterior property videos and photography.
* Understanding of best practices for architectural photography, demonstrating artistic vision and creativity.
