SELECTION CRITERIA
* A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
* AIN (undergraduate student): Active enrolment in, and successful completion of at least 12 months of an NMBA approved Bachelor of Nursing &/or Midwifery or Diploma of Nursing Program OR Successful completion of the nationally recognised qualification, Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assistance in Nursing Work in Acute Care) HLT33115 or equivalent.
* The ability to demonstrate competence and perform the skills contained within the Statement of Duties.
* Demonstrate well-developed communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
* Well-developed planning, prioritisation and organisational skills.
* Willingness to accept feedback on performance and development from Registered Nurse/Midwife and work towards achieving identified learning goals.
* Demonstrate effectiveness in working within a team.
* Knowledge of principles of safe manual handling.
* Knowledge of and commitment to Quality Improvement and Infection Control standards.
All caregivers employed by St John of God Health Care are required to be vaccinated from Influenza in order to fulfil the requirements of the role.
