What You'll Be Doing
* Assessing and determining development applications, construction certificates and complying development certificates
* Acting as Registered Certifier and Principal Certifier in accordance with legislation
* Providing clear, practical technical advice to internal and external stakeholders
* Working proactively with applicants and stakeholders to achieve positive, timely outcomes
* Managing compliance and regulatory matters with professionalism and sound judgement
You'll Bring
* Degree or Graduate Diploma in Building (or similar), with experience in development assessment and certification
* Registration with NSW Fair Trading as a Building Surveyor (restricted – Class 1 and 10)
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and the ability to apply it pragmatically
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities and high-volume workflows
* Confidence engaging, influencing and negotiating with a wide range of stakeholders
* A genuine commitment to delivering a positive customer experience
