The Role The CMO Workforce Manager will be responsible for the development of a high-level, sustainable, safe, and reliable Career Medical Officer workforce at Macquarie University Hospital. This role is expected to effectively coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, training, rostering, monitoring, reporting and development of the CMO workforce. This role will have you work closely with our Director of Clinical Training, MQ Health Clinicians and Clinical Leadership, Director of Nursing and other key stakeholders across the business.
Key Accountabilities of a Clinical Workforce Manager include (not limited to): Coordinate the ongoing recruitment, onboarding and retention of the MQ Health CMO workforce. Support the Clinical Workforce staff and the Deputy Director of Medical Services in creating a reliable, manageable and sustainable CMO workforce at MUH. Manage CMO costing and staffing issues in order to maintain a sustainable CMO workforce at MUH. Review and investigate incidents timely (including but not limited to Riskman reports) related to CMOs. Assist the clinical workforce staff and the DDMS in the ongoing evaluation of after-hours workload in order to provide safe cover at MUH. Support the completion and submission of logbooks by registrars and fellows and liaise with the billing coordinator to ensure accurate billing. About You Reporting to Deputy Director of Medical Services and Director of Medical and Surgical Services, you will demonstrate abilities in developing and maintaining the Clinical Workforce staff. You will have played a pivotal role in managing workforce needs to clinicians and managing staff movements to all major stakeholders needs. Your organisational skills and troubleshooting of workforce planning, rostering, clinical governance will be valuable in this role.

MBBS or equivalent qualification and registration as a medical practitioner in Australia and fellowship of the relevant specialist College or Faculty where appropriate. Active (or eligible to be an active) Accredited Practitioner of MUH. Demonstrated experience in clinical workforce management. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders, including patients and other health professionals. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Knowledge of and commitment to continuous improvement, evidence-based practice and promoting a culture of safety, quality, teamwork, innovation and best practice in clinical practice, teaching and research.
