The successful candidate will provide expert medical assessment and management of patients within the department/service.
Main Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality clinical care to patients in a public sector setting
* Work effectively and harmoniously with medical and other health services colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team
* Demonstrate commitment to teaching and professional development
* Participate in quality improvement activities relevant to the specialty
Requirements
To be eligible for this position, applicants must:
* Hold registration or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
* Possess fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and/or equivalent specialist recognition
* Demonstrate subspecialty training in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia, Obstetric Anaesthesia, Trauma Anaesthesia, or major case anaesthesia
* Have evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements
* Have proven capacity and/or experience in providing effective high-quality service in the specialty
