4. Clerk Grade11/12 salary ($139,787 - $161,663) plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
The Aboriginal Housing Office is seeking a Manager, Program Management Office to lead a team for a period of six months and will be responsible for developing and the management of project management governance, reporting and deliverables, including implementing and overseeing coordination of project implementation to deliver on department outputs and outcomes, and meet client service delivery needs.
What you’ll do
The Manager, PMO leads a team to guide the successful delivery of programs and projects and is responsible for designing, developing and the management of project management governance, reporting and deliverables. This is achieved in partnership with the AHO Executive team, program, project, and support service teams.
What we’re looking for
The successful candidate will have previously demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of an organisation to successfully identify, enact, communicate, and deliver outputs and outcomes. They will ideally have experience in a PMO environment, preferably within a Public Sector setting.
Strong people management skills are also required to successfully lead the PMO team (currently three direct reports).
Essential Requirements
5. Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal cultural beliefs and attitudes and of the socio-economic position of Aboriginal people within Australian society, and of their impacts in relation to housing.
6. Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.
7. Proven ability to work independently with a high level of strategic thinking, business acumen and problem-solving skills and experience in managing a team.
8. Prior PMO experience in delivering Aboriginal related projects highly regarded.
9. Project Management Qualification highly regarded.

The Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO) is part of the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ)
The AHO is a statutory authority, established under the Aboriginal Housing Act 1998 (NSW) and plans, administers, and expands the policies, program, and asset base for Aboriginal housing in NSW.
The AHO works in partnership with Aboriginal Community Housing Providers (ACHP) and Aboriginal communities in delivering housing program and developing housing policy and standards. AHO has also strived to build the skills of Aboriginal people in the sector to improve the management of both their properties and their organisations for a better tomorrow for everyone.
Working with the Aboriginal AHO Board, the AHO provides housing assistance for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across NSW and an increased range of housing choices, especially for those members of the community most in need
