HVAC Technician Position
Commercial HVAC technicians are responsible for maintaining, repairing and commissioning chillers and air conditioning systems in commercial buildings.
The role requires a high level of technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills and effective communication. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management and customer service skills.
Job Description:
In this position, you will be responsible for installing, testing and commissioning commercial chillers and air conditioning systems. You will also perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels and replacing worn parts. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment, using your technical knowledge and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve issues quickly.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, test and commission commercial chillers and air conditioning systems
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels and replacing worn parts
* Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth project delivery
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) or a related field
* Current restricted electrical license
* Valid driver's license
* Construction Induction Card (white card)
* ARC License
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
* Good physical fitness and stamina
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical activity. You will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces and in extreme temperatures.
