About this role: We are currently looking to fill two Senior Business Analyst positions.
These roles are responsible for leading the creation of key outputs for one or more projects delivered by the Digital Delivery Branch, Digital Technology Group. More specifically, these roles have responsibility for supporting staff transition to new ways of working, focussing on systems and processes relating to Icon Waters’ Digital environment which includes Operational Technology (OT), Cloud and on-premise based platforms.
Other Key Responsibilities Include:
* Engaging with business areas to elicit and document business challenges and objectives independently, with minimal supervision
* Establish a strong working relationship with each client based on clear expectation-setting and building of mutual trust
* Ensure that customer business objectives and scoping statements are well defined and understood by you, the project team and business areas
* Support the production of risk mitigation discussions and plans for any significant project risks
* Support stakeholders and Change Management teams in adopting changes and performance with new systems
* Identifies, investigates, documents and analyses business processes, procedures and work practices
* Identifies and evaluates inefficiencies and recommends optimal business practices, and system functionality and behaviour
* Creates end user and training documentation, and conducts formal training classes
* Develops functional and non-functional specifications for use by system developers and other third parties
* Uses data and process modelling techniques to create clear system specifications for the design and development of system software
* Acts as a central reference point for project information, providing guidance and assistance in the project decision making process
* Act as a mentor to other Business Analyst team members
* Work within and support the Icon Water environment and culture.
* Assist in the improvement of Icon Water project processes, documentation, and templates.
* Other duties within the employee’s skill, competence, and training.
Who we are looking for: We are looking for suitable candidates who hold relevant tertiary qualifications in IT, Business or related disciplines
You should also have the following experience:
* 10+ years' experience as a Senior (Digital) Business Analyst
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; active listening skills and attention to detail
* Ability to produce high quality stakeholder communications
* Able to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously and with minimal supervision
* Experience in business re-engineering and process design
* Experience in engaging, influencing, negotiating, presenting and collaborating with a range of business stakeholders to develop ongoing working relationships that achieve positive outcomes
* Experience in complex, dynamic, fast paced environments where new problems and issues frequently arise which require new methods to be created
* Knowledge of risk and quality management practices in a digital project context
* Knowledge of the business of a regulated utility, its structure and operations
