We are seeking a passionate and commercially minded Category Development qualified to join our team on a fixed-term, 12 month contract, supporting the Soft Drinks & Mixers portfolio .
As Category Manager, you will play a key role in driving sustainable category growth through insight‐led strategy and execution. Partnering closely with Sales, Marketing and key retail customers, you'll deliver category leadership, uncover growth opportunities and strengthen Asahi Beverages' position as a trusted advisor in market.
Key Accountabilities
* Category Strategy and Planning
o Develop and lead category strategies aligned to business and customer objectives
o Identify growth opportunities across range & space
o Translate insights into actionable plans and selling stories
* Customer & Channel Support
o Build solid relationships with key retail partners
o Deliver customer‐specific recommendations and reviews
o Support Joint Business Planning with insight‐led thinking
* Insights & Analytics
o Analyse data (Nielsen, Circana, shopper data) to identify trends
o Monitor category and competitor performance
o Deliver transparent insights and presentations
* Range, Space & Merchandising
o Lead range review recommendations
o Develop space and merchandising principles
o Partner on in‐store execution
* Cross‐Functional Collaboration
o Partner with Marketing, Sales and innovation teams
o Support customer engagement and execution
o Contribute to planning and category strategy
About You
* Solid experience across Category, Trade Marketing and/or Account Management
* FMCG experience with major accounts (Woolworths, Coles)
* Strong ability to influence both internally and externally
* Experience working with scan/shopper data (Circana, Quantium and Summit highly regarded)
* Strong presentation skills, both verbal and visual
