Synergie Australia is seeking a Project Engineer for a trusted client located in Laverton North.
Important parts:
Hours: Monday-Friday, rotating roster between 8:00am–6:00pm | 38 hrs per week.
What you will be required to do:
* This role delivers safe, compliant capital projects from concept to completion, coordinating design, contractors, budgets, and reliability outcomes.
* Lead end-to-end CAPEX project planning, design, tendering, and execution.
* Coordinate and supervise contractors to meet safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets.
* Ensure compliance with process safety, MOC, regulatory, and engineering standards.
* Review and validate designs, installations, and technical documentation.
* Monitor budgets, schedules, and project performance trends.
* Embed reliability, RCM, and continuous improvement principles into project delivery.
To be successful in the role you will:
* Be a degree-qualified Mechanical or Chemical Engineer with 5+ years' experience delivering projects in manufacturing or process-driven environments.
* Have strong knowledge of process safety, risk management, MOC, and Australian/Victorian plant regulations.
* Demonstrate proven capability in contractor, site safety, and construction management, including tendering and procurement.
* Possess a solid technical grounding in plant design, heat and mass transfer, reliability engineering, RCA, and FMEA.
* Be proficient in project management tools and documentation, with robust written and verbal communication skills.
