Horse trainer - full-time (warwick)

Pride Racing is currently seeking highly experienced and capable applicants to join our stable at Warwick Farm NSW. The positions offered are full‐time.

• Horse Trainer/RiderRide 8-10 horses per morning, emphasizing pace/timed work and jump outs.
• Horse Trainer/2nd ForepersonEducate young horses and supervise all training activities, including veterinary care and liaison, transportation, and support services (farriers, dentists). Supervise staff, set rosters, advise trainer on horse conditions, supervise feeding program, ensure supplies are ordered and maintained, and ensure staff train horses in line with training plans.

Above award, ranging from $72,000 to $77,000 per annum depending on skill level.

• Minimum 3 years full‐time skilled experience in the role, or 2 years full‐time experience and a relevant qualification.
• Knowledge and experience of horse training and handling methods specific to thoroughbred racing.
• Proven ability to train, ride and educate horses.
• Oral and written communication skills to take instruction and provide information.
• Ability to work in a team and independently (or proven management experience for a foreperson role).
• Knowledge of safe operation of all equipment and use of personal protective equipment.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety obligations and demonstrated skills in safe operation of equipment relevant to the training and preparation of racehorses.

• International experience.
• A Certificate III or equivalent international qualification.
