Job Description & Summary

Data Kit is PwC's secure digital SaaS platform that allows for the collection, validation and processing of data for specific programs of work.

Embedding the highly configurable Data Kit in our client engagements enables an efficient and robust method for collating and analysing data from multiple sites or entities.

The successful candidate will be looking to be a part of our Data Kit client delivery and technical team sitting within the PwC Trust and Risk business.

They will enjoy playing a critical technical liaison and skill development role working closely with our client facing Consultants/Senior Consultants and Managers.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain databases used for self-service analytics, including schema design, data replication and maintenance

Liaise with PwC IT department to proactively identify and manage the smooth running of our application infrastructure and databases

Develop tooling and reporting for managing and monitoring performance of databases & servers

Work in conjunction with the Data Kit client facing delivery team to develop and optimise SQL queries used to drive PwC's Data Kit platform

Identify technical skill gaps in the Data Kit client facing delivery team and follow with either training support or recommend application feature development to address these gaps

Implement core data-layer activities using Alteryx workflows

Develop and maintain a comprehensive data-driven set of APIs

About you and what you will need:
Azure cloud experience (Highly Desirable)

Three to five years experience in a database developer role

Australian citizenship essential due to federal government client base and need to obtain baseline clearance

Strong SQL Server 2016+ background:
Performance tuning

Advanced SQL and T-SQL

Database Maintenance (Manage Backup routines, Agent jobs and Identify performance problems)

Robust interpersonal skills with ability to work with cross-functional teams

In-depth understanding of database management systems

Experience training and supporting business users in an analytics environment

Strong problem-solving, analytical, conceptual and critical thinking skills

Effective listening and communication skills and ability to provide essential information to stakeholders

Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills

Self-starter with detail orientation; persistence and ability to work independently to drive execution

Experience with Power BI and Alteryx preferable but not essential
