About the School
Woorabinda State School is a Kindergarten to Year 6 school with the proud motto "Proud and Deadly." About the Role
As the Head of Special Education Services, you will play a key role in fostering an inclusive and supportive school culture that ensures equity and excellence for students with disability. Your leadership will guide the development and delivery of high-quality teaching practices and meaningful adjustments, aligned with relevant legislation and policies, to empower every student to thrive and reach their full potential.
Your Responsibilities
As the Head of Special Education Services, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program.
Lead and manage the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program to provide advice to classroom teachers for students with disability as needed.
Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
Coordinate and provide intensive targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.
