Contract Negotiation and Lifecycle Management Specialist
About the Role
The ideal candidate will oversee contract negotiations, execution, and lifecycle management, focusing on cost optimisation and performance. This pivotal role involves leading supplier contract negotiations, driving cost optimisation through consolidation, volume leverage, and benchmarking, aligning agreements with technical specifications, quality standards, and production timelines, mitigating commercial and manufacturing risks through robust contract terms, maintaining an accurate, secure, and searchable digital contract repository, supporting strategic sourcing and RFP/RFQ processes, and monitoring supplier compliance, performance metrics, and cost savings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Negotiate and Manage Contracts: Develop and implement effective contract negotiation strategies to ensure optimal results for the business.
* Drive Cost Optimisation: Identify opportunities to consolidate contracts, negotiate better rates, and improve overall value for the business.
* Align Agreements with Business Objectives: Ensure all contracts are aligned with the company's technical specifications, quality standards, and production timelines.
* Mitigate Risks: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the business from potential losses.
* Manage Contract Repository: Maintain a secure, accurate, and searchable digital contract repository to support business operations.
* Support Strategic Sourcing: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategic sourcing plans that meet business objectives.
* Monitor Supplier Performance: Track and analyse supplier performance metrics, including cost savings and compliance.
About You
You're a commercially astute professional with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of building consensus and negotiating successful outcomes. A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Business, Law, or related field is essential, along with 5+ years of experience in contract management, procurement, or strategic sourcing, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations and cost reduction is also required.
