We already work with a number of excellent external detailers, but we're now making the step to bring this capability in-house to enable real-time, face-to-face collaboration with our team.

The Role – In-House Detailer / Draftsperson
We're seeking a skilled and proactive Detailer / Draftsperson to join our team in Wagga Wagga. This is a pivotal role in our steel framing division, responsible for:
* Designing wall frames, trusses, floor cassettes and associated components using Framecad Structure and Detailer
* Preparing accurate production files for our Framecad machines and coordinating with the Production Manager
* Converting conventional timber or structural steel designs into light gauge steel (LGS) equivalents
* Working closely with our Steel Frame Project Manager and Steel Frame Assistant Project Manager clients, and engineers to ensure that all designs are coordinated and buildable
* Training Team Members on the software with the intent to develop a team of in-house detailers
* Reviewing work prepared by other external detailers to ensure alignment with project documentation, engineering requirements, and production standards
* Participating in design reviews and helping us continuously improve our detailing processes and workflows
About You
* Experience with Framecad Structure is ideal but not essential
* Experienced in detailing both residential and commercial LGS projects (Framecad Detailer experience highly regarded)
* Able to independently manage detailing packages from concept through to production
* Skilled at reviewing and redlining work completed by others, including external detailing partners
* Strong understanding of architectural and engineering plans
* Comfortable converting traditional construction details into LGS alternatives with efficiency and clarity
* Excellent verbal and written communicator, with the ability to work closely with clients, engineers, and our in-house team
* Highly organised, deadline-driven, and committed to quality and finish
* Passionate about innovation and doing things better—and ready to be part of a collaborative, on-site team in Wagga Wagga
