Family Health Lead

Children's Ground is seeking an experienced health professional to lead the Family Health and Wellbeing Team in Central Australia.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in health promotion, program management, and working with First Nations communities.

The role involves delivering our Family Health and Wellbeing Framework, which recognises and supports local traditional cultural knowledge systems and practices. The team works collaboratively with internal and external partners to develop and implement family health plans, create responses to population health needs, and promote social and emotional wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong people management skills, and a collaborative worker mindset.

Key responsibilities include:

* Delivering the Children’s Ground Family Health & Wellbeing Framework.
* Developing, assessing, and monitoring population health/health promotion priorities.
* Managing and implementing responses to create improved health and wellbeing outcomes.
* Supporting the integration of health and wellbeing into Early Childhood Curriculum.
* Developing, coordinating, and implementing family health and wellbeing plans.
* Providing support to local First nations people to navigate the public, not-for-profit, and private health system.
* Overseeing and coordinating ongoing infectious disease prevention and response work.

The Family Health Lead will be responsible for operational systems and standards, ensuring documentation, policies, procedures, and systems are in place and compliant. They will also provide mentoring, management, and guidance to the health team to develop professional, trusting, and respectful relationships.


Essential Requirements

* Relevant Degree/qualification or substantial equivalent work experience.
* Significant experience and expertise in health promotion, program management, and working with First Nations communities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong relationship, networking, and communication skills.
* Strong people management skills and a collaborative worker mindset.
