Leading Hand / Supervising Plant Operator

The Role
Join INTENT Rail & Civil as a Leading Hand / Supervising Plant Operator and take the lead on daily site operations while using your high‐level machine skills across a range of plant. You'll guide crews, operate machinery, support reporting, and help deliver safe, efficient and high‐quality civil and rail projects across regional NSW.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading and managing day‐to‐day operations on site
* Operating a variety of plant and machinery at a high level (including final trim)
* Coordinating with management on site reporting and project progress
* Supporting safe work practices and ensuring compliance on site
* Assisting with GPS‐based set‐out and machine guidance
* Working across regional NSW, including regular travel for project deliver
What You'll Bring
* Strong final trim capability and experience across excavators, compact track loaders, and other plant
* Essential RII tickets (or willingness to obtain) for excavator, roller, dump truck, track loader
* HR/HC licence with proven experience
* Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
* GPS experience — in‐machine and for site set‐out
* A practical, solutions‐focused mindset and strong communication skills
* Reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work away from home when required
* Full Australian working rights and ability to pass medical and D&A testing
Most of INTENT's work is based in regional NSW, therefore travel is a requirement of the position. 80% of our workload annually is performed outside of the Bathurst area, working an average of 46hrs per week. Please only apply if these conditions suit your lifestyle
