Your Role
As Head of Safety, you will lead Marinus Link's health, safety, and injury management function, ensuring safety principles are fully integrated into strategic and operational decision-making. You will provide expert direction, guidance, and assurance to executive leadership and project teams, building confidence that best-practice standards are achieved across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities
* Leadership & Strategy – Develop and embed a best-practice safety vision, culture, and management systems aligned to major infrastructure standards.
* Functional Excellence – Design and implement contemporary HSEQ frameworks, processes, and improvement initiatives.
* Monitoring & Reporting – Provide metrics, insights, and reporting to inform evidence-based decisions and ensure compliance with legislation and standards.
* Culture & Capability Building – Lead, coach, and mentor teams to strengthen capability and proactive safety behaviours.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with contractors, suppliers, and project teams to apply lifecycle safety principles, particularly during design and procurement phases.
* Risk & Assurance – Facilitate risk assessments, audits, investigations, and reporting to identify trends and drive improvements.
You'll Need
You are a strategic and influential leader who excels in connecting safety intelligence with decision-making and thrives in complex project environments. You'll bring:
* Expertise in Health & Safety Leadership – Extensive experience in professional and operational safety roles.
* Stakeholder Engagement & Influence – Proven ability to advise, influence, and build trusted partnerships.
* Technical Capability – Strong knowledge of HSEQ systems, risk management methodologies, and reporting.
* Commercial & Regulatory Acumen – Deep understanding of health and safety and workers compensation legislation.
* Leadership & Culture Building – Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring high-performing teams.
* Problem-Solving & Resilience – Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and implement practical solutions.
Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications in Health, Safety and Wellbeing (or equivalent experience).
* Allied Health qualification desirable.
* Relevant auditing certifications advantageous.
* Current driver licence and willingness to travel across Tasmania and Victoria.
