About the Role
We're seeking skilled and reliable IT Field Technicians to join our growing network across Gippsland, Bendigo, Shepparton, and nearby regions.
This sub-contractor role offers flexibility and control over your schedule, with hands-on, on-site work across retail, commercial, and residential environments.
You'll install, maintain, and repair a wide range of IT hardware and equipment while representing BMC2IT Solutions with professionalism and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, maintain, and repair laptops, desktops, consumer-grade routers/switches, mobile devices, self-service checkouts, and other IT equipment
* Repair and maintain point-of-sale and checkout systems (parts replacement)
* Perform on-site troubleshooting and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues
* Manage parts, inventory, ticketing, and job administration on-site
* Complete documentation and compliance forms accurately
* Provide occasional remote support when needed
Qualifications & Experience
* IT qualification, certification, or relevant degree (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or IT diploma/degree)
* Minimum 2 years' IT support or field experience (preferred)
* Customer service experience (1 year minimum, 2 preferred)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong troubleshooting skills in hardware, software, and basic networking
* Experience with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, hardware imaging, routers/switches, and printers/scanners
* Familiarity with any of the following is a plus: Hyper-V, StorageCraft/Veeam, Azure AD, 3CX VoIP, ITGlue, and ConnectWise RMM
Contractor Requirements
* Australian Business Number (ABN)
* Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance (as required for sub-contractor work)
* Valid Australian driver's licence and reliable vehicle for travel between sites
* Current Police Check (issued within the past 3–6 months)
