The Role
Join the Town as Coordinator IT Systems and contribute significantly to the Councils Information Technology (IT) systems (hardware and software) in all locations including: infrastructure maintenance, help desk support and associated customer service.
It is responsible for implementing and maintaining appropriate IT service management standards, policies and procedures, for the team to operate in accordance with business needs and regulatory standards and provides a high level of coaching and mentoring of the IT Team.
Selection Criteria
The successful candidate's core values will mirror the Town's values of Friendly and helpful, Teamwork, Creativity, Integrity, and Respect, and be able to demonstrate the following:
· Previous experience in a senior IT or supervisory role involved in technical leadership and coordination of IT systems and resources, with the ability to promote a productive team environment.
· Proven experience in systems administration and/or relatively complex IT support activities.
· Working knowledge of networked computer systems and the installation, configuration and use of Microsoft Windows application software. SQL and Crystal reporting knowledge is beneficial.
· The ability to write technical documents, reports, policies and procedures; and to provide solutions to ensure continuance and maintenance of the Town's operating IT environment.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide high quality internal and external customer service and establish good working relationships with external providers.
· Effective time management and organisational skills to prioritise and deliver on competing work activities, and demonstrated ability to problem solve IT issues in a business environment.
· Recognised industry-based training and experience, Tertiary qualifications in an IT field and experience working within the ITIL framework and certification in ITIL4 Foundation is desirable.
