Experienced Contracts Administrator Required – Construction Industry
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented construction industry experienced Contracts Administrator to join our dynamic construction team. This role plays a key part in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, while managing the contractual obligations and relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer and manage construction contracts in accordance with company procedures and legal requirements
* Prepare, issue, and track subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and contract documentation
* Monitor and manage contract variations, extensions of time (EOTs), and claims
* Assist in procurement activities including tender evaluations and recommendations
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contract correspondence and documentation
* Collaborate with project managers, estimators, site teams, and external stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with all contract terms, legislation, and industry standards
* Support dispute resolution processes when required
* Provide regular reporting on contract status, risks, and cost forecasts
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a similar Contracts Administrator role within the construction industry
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., AS, FIDIC, NEC, JCT or relevant local standards)
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
* High attention to detail and organizational ability
* Proficiency in contract administration software and Microsoft Office Suite
* Ability to interpret legal and contractual documents
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Law, or Business Management, or a related field would be highly regarded
* Additional certifications in contract administration or construction law essential
