The role of Scientist - Continuous Shift involves performing scientific analyses in a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week laboratory setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Apply established protocols and standards for diagnostic testing.
* Participate in continuous shift work, including weekends and public holidays.
* Initiate and contribute to the development of scientific practices, procedures, and research activities.
* Apply high-level knowledge, skills, and experience to multi-specialist duties within the work unit.
* Participate in quality and service improvement activities.
Requirements
* A tertiary degree qualification in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognised institution.
* Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in diagnostic testing and clinical interpretation of results.
* Able to participate in a multidisciplinary team and contribute diagnostic skills relevant to the discipline.
* Ability to apply established principles to a multidiscipline service with provision of results and clinical advice.
