About the Role and Team
We have a recent opportunity for an experienced workers' compensation lawyer or associate to join our rapidly growing Insurance practice, based in our Darwin office. The Insurance WA team is a defendant insurance legal team, working across Statutory Insurance matters, including workers' compensation, recoveries and compulsory third-party matters. This is a hands-on role with opportunities for learning, development and progression, and the chance to work with interesting clients and partners.
About You
- Between 3 and 5 years of post-admission experience within Workers' Compensation
- Ideally experience on the defendant side; we will also consider candidates with a plaintiff background who are keen to move into a defendant practice
- A genuine interest in contributing to the growth and success of our insurance practice in Darwin
- Clear, concise legal writing skills
- Strong attention to detail
Responsibilities
The role involves providing specialist advice and representation in workers' compensation matters as part of a broader insurance team. (Note: specific day-to-day duties are implied by the practice area and team structure in Darwin.)
Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer with 3–5 years' post-admission experience in workers' compensation
