Job DescriptionWe currently have an opportunity for a Facilities Manager. Join our Health and Education team and play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of facility maintenance and security services on site, ensuring performance standards and budget targets are met. Reporting to Facilities Director, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.What You’ll DoResponsible for the operational requirements of the contract and to develop effective systems and processes which facilitate the achievement of the contract objectives.Provide engineering and maintenance services with a minimum level of disruption to hospital operations.Ensure maintenance is scheduled appropriately and in accordance with Australian Standards and industry best practices.Lifecycle planning for the facility to ensure assets are managed in accordance with the Asset Management Plan.Ensure building systems are accurate and up to date, and operating at optimum performance in an energy efficient manner.What You’ll BringSignificant experience in a large site facilities management role (Hospital experience ideal).An accomplished leader, excellent communicator and able to work collaboratively with clients.Demonstrated experience in contract management, planning, cost control and computer-based work-scheduling systems.Previous experience in the delivery of contract services where subcontractors are used for Reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance, with a sound understanding of building and service regulations and statutory obligations.Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and/or a Trade related discipline (or demonstrated equivalent professional training and experience).More than anything, you’ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.Why Downer?At Downer, we plan, create, and sustain essential public services across Australia and New Zealand.
