The Paediatrics Department at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital is entering an exciting phase of expansion and is now seeking to appoint 2 permanent full-time Staff Specialists to join its team.About the Hospital and DepartmentArmidale Rural Referral Hospital is a Level 4 Paediatric Unit with 8 inpatient beds for children and young people up to 18 years of age, and a 2-bed special care nursery supporting a level 4 maternity unit with approximately 450 deliveries annually. The department currently has a team of 3 experienced Paediatricians and is supported by increasing junior medical staff.Position OverviewYou will be involved in clinical work that requires a broad scope of skills, including neonatal care (>34 weeks' gestation), inpatient care for children and young people up to 18 years, and general outpatient services. The role involves managing complex medical, behavioural, and developmental paediatric cases.
