About the opportunity
Join Mercy Health's dynamic Facilities team in the Western Region, supporting multiple key health services including Werribee Mercy Hospital, Mercy Mental Health & Wellbeing and Mercy Palliative Care. This leadership role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive, values-driven organisation, managing a skilled team to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient infrastructure operations across a diverse portfolio.
* Oversee the effective management, maintenance and lifecycle planning of all assets and infrastructure within the Western Region portfolio.
* Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of corrective and preventative maintenance, in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
* Be a key member of a collaborative team, contributing to the development of maintenance strategies that support patient care and operational excellence across the sites.
What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will have
* Tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related discipline, or trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Hydraulic Services
* Proven experience in facilities or maintenance management, ideally within healthcare or hospital environments
* Experience with budgeting and financial management for maintenance operations
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with multiple stakeholders
* Excellent written communication skills, with a strong understanding of computer applications
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, working under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
* Experience in managing and optimising CMMS platforms (e.g., Technology One, MEX, Maximo, or similar
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
* A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
* Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
