Description Powertech is a leading provider of Electrical Engineering Services across Australia and Southeast Asia, delivering expertise in HV/LV and E&I across industries including Mining, Oil & Gas, Utilities, Renewables, Rail, and Defence. We’re currently looking for a High Voltage Technician to join our Darwin team on a permanent basis. Don’t have HV experience yet? That’s okay. If you’re a qualified electrician with the right attitude and willingness to learn, we will provide structured training and hands-on experience in HV testing and commissioning. About the Role This is a dynamic role combining office, site, and field-based work, with opportunities for travel across Australia on a project basis. You’ll be supported by experienced engineers and technicians while developing skills in: HV protection testing and commissioning Substation primary and secondary system testing Power system and generation commissioning Protection relay testing Transformer testing Preparing test reports and commissioning documentation Working safely in high-voltage environments What We’re Looking For We’re more interested in attitude and foundation than ticking every HV box.
