About The Role

As Head of Department - English you will thrive on building strong, connected teams and take pride in developing others to achieve their best. We are seeking a leader who sets clear, high expectations while creating the conditions for both students and staff to succeed. You will bring a strategic, future‑focused mindset and the ability to lead with clarity, purpose and care across a dynamic department of committed staff. This is a temporary full‑time position until 18 September 2026, unless otherwise determined.
Responsibilities
* Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
* Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
* Set high standards for student and staff performance.
* Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
* Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
