As a member of our team, you will play an important role in providing high quality service to theatres and other clinical areas.

As Theatre Technician, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Delivering excellent service and care to patients Assisting with Team time out, correct site surgery and patient positioning Setting up and preparation of the operating theatre prior to surgery Transporting patient to and from the operating theatre, and assisting with safe patient transfer on and off the operating table Ensure all equipment is functioning properly, correctly positioned in theatre and maintained Undertake designated cleaning tasks certifying a high standard of cleanliness is maintained utilising standard precautions, between cases and end of list Essential criteria: Certificate III/IV in Health Services Assistant (Operating Theatre Technician) or enrolled and have completed a student placement Sound knowledge of theatre equipment and safe practices Previous experience in providing safe and appropriate patient care in clinical environment Working in a team environment – including taking accountability, working to national standards, guidelines and hospital policies
