Are you ready to shape the future of Joint Mission Design in Defence? We're seeking highly skilled professionals to join a newly established Joint Mission Design Team, supporting the evolution of mission engineering across the ADF.

Security Clearance: NV1 (minimum)
This role will place you at the forefront of capability development, working with Groups, Services, and Senior Defence Committees to design, test, and evaluate mission threads that directly inform Defence strategy and operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and document mission engineering processes and guidance for Capability Managers
* Drive digital engineering practices to support Defence-wide mission engineering adoption
* Conduct collaborative workshops and consultative meetings with stakeholders
* Create artefacts supporting experimentation, test, and evaluation of mission threads
* Prepare and present artefacts to Senior Defence Committees
Who We're Looking For:
* 15+ years' experience in ADF doctrine application and military operational planning
* Strong understanding of Defence strategic and policy context
* Background in capability development and systems engineering (desirable)
* Critical thinking, innovation, and proven analysis skills in military/capability planning
* Experienced professionals with additional qualifications and demonstrated delivery in complex Defence environments
* Demonstrated ability to undertake analysis, apply critical thinking, and innovate on matters related to military and capability planning.
