Overview
The successful applicant will deliver the Western Australian Curriculum, with a focus on English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS), Health, and Design Technologies. The role involves planning, preparing, and implementing engaging lessons, assessing and monitoring student progress, and fostering a positive classroom environment that supports the diverse needs of students.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Junior Primary programs that align with the Western Australian Curriculum, with a focus on English, Mathematics, Science, HASS, and the Arts.
- Prepare engaging lessons, assess student progress, and monitor learning outcomes to support diverse learner needs.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment; manage behaviour and expectations effectively.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community; communicate clearly and respectfully.
- Demonstrate commitment to the values and ethos of an independent/private school; inspire and engage students in their learning.
- Uphold personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ; participate in a Church or Christian community and exemplify Christian beliefs and practices.
- Adhere to the College’s Statement of Faith and all college policies and procedures.
- Build cooperative relationships with the board, principal, staff, students and parents; strive for personal best and fair, fact-based decision making.
- Model appropriate channels of communication and act in the best interest of the College and its ethos.
- Hold a valid teaching qualification and registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia; Working With Children Card; First Aid certificate (desirable).
Qualifications and requirements
- Hold a valid teaching qualification and registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia, demonstrating a solid understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum in the Junior Primary years.
- Experience in planning and delivering high-quality Junior Primary programs, with a focus on English, Mathematics, Science, HASS, and the Arts.
- Possess excellent classroom management skills, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of students of differing ability levels.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, effectively collaborating with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the values and ethos of an independent/private school, along with the ability to inspire and engage students in their learning.
- To have a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
- To actively be a part of a Church or Christian community and exemplify Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices.
- To accept the College’s Statement of Faith.
- First Aid certificate is desirable.
- Working With Children Card.
