As a Senior Procurement Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening Queensland's building and construction industry by providing exceptional procurement services. Key duties include:
* Communicating procurement strategies to staff, facilitating changes to traditional practices through training and education programs.
* Preparing and calling of tenders and undertaking purchasing activities for various categories involving construction, maintenance, consulting and upgrade activities.
* Providing guidance and assistance to operational teams in purchasing and associated policies, as well as pricing of future works.
* Striving for continuous improvement within the procurement function, maintaining awareness of current industry practices.
* Establishing working relationships with suppliers and contractors, focusing on competitive pricing and meeting established performance standards.
* Developing and delivering procurement and contract management training programs to internal and external stakeholders.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to contribute to the development and implementation of Standing Offer Agreements and building contracts. You will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining procurement instructions, procedures, and guidelines.
