What You'll Be Doing 
This position is for a Senior Dental Officer in charge of oral health services in an SNSWLHD cluster including coordination and line management of staffing and related clinical services. As the dental officer in charge, this position has a clinical workload and responsibility for the leadership, management, education and administration of the cluster dental clinics. The position is accountable for ensuring the implementation and ongoing monitoring of state and local district policies and work practices.

Remuneration and Incentives 
Salary: $187,013 - $192,293 plus the Dental Officer Rural Incentive Scheme Allowance up to $20,000 per annum.

Selection Criteria 
- Current Registration with AHPRA as a Dentist and demonstrated experience in general dental work and a range of advanced and complex dental procedures with high-level skills in challenging cases. 
- Demonstrated ability to lead and direct multi-disciplinary oral health teams. 
- Knowledge of operational service planning and ability to apply it to efficient oral health service provision. 
- Ability to participate as a member of an oral health management team. 
- Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills, stakeholder and patient consultation, and complaint resolution. 
- Knowledge of quality improvement in health care and NSQHS accreditation Standards; ability to implement and evaluate quality practices. 
- Ability to supervise and manage oral health teams with emphasis on employment equity, anti-discrimination, workplace health and safety and ethical behaviour. 
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel long distances and possible overnight stays.
