Executive Leadership and HR Strategy
This is a senior-level position that oversees the strategic direction of HR services across a multi-site organisation.
* Drive the operational delivery of HR services and lead a team of professionals to achieve organisational objectives.
As a key member of the executive leadership, this role will engage with all levels of the business to ensure alignment with business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic oversight and guidance of the HR function.
* Partner with senior leadership to develop people strategies that drive business success.
* Lead and coach HR team members and frontline leaders to build capability and accountability.
* Manage enterprise bargaining agreement negotiations and foster positive union relationships.
* Ensure compliance with workplace legislation, industrial relations frameworks, and safety standards.
* Oversee recruitment, retention, professional development, and talent management initiatives.
* Maintain and enhance HR systems and update policies in line with legislation.
* Prepare and present detailed reports to the Board and executive team.
Requirements:
* Degree or MBA in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
* 5-10 years' experience in HR, preferably with leadership exposure.
* Strong knowledge of industrial relations, EBAs, and union engagement.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong reporting skills.
* Practical, strategic, and resilient leader who can balance strategy and hands-on delivery.
* Maritime, logistics, or similar industry experience is desirable but not essential.
* Strong integrity and ability to challenge inappropriate behaviour constructively.
