About the Role:
As the Student Engagement Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in delivering a dynamic calendar of events, activities, and digital engagement initiatives that connect and support both domestic and international students.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives across both event delivery and digital marketing, with a passion for creating meaningful, culturally relevant student experiences.
You’ll lead the day-to-day coordination of the Gold Coast Student Hub, while also driving digital engagement, content development, and promotion of hub activities. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you’ll contribute to positioning the Gold Coast as a leading study destination through engaging campaigns and student-focused storytelling.
Alongside this, you’ll support key programs including the Mayor’s Student Ambassador Program and the Gold Coast Student Excellence Awards.
What You’ll Do:
* Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Student Hub, ensuring a welcoming and high-quality student experience.
* Plan and deliver a diverse calendar of student engagement events and activities.
* Lead the ideation, creation, and execution of student-focused digital and social media content.
* Develop and implement promotion strategies to drive awareness and participation in Student Hub initiatives and events.
* Collaborate with internal marketing and digital teams to deliver engaging, on-brand content and campaigns.
* Manage end-to-end event logistics including planning, stakeholder coordination, and post-event evaluation.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with students, education providers, and community stakeholders.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of programs through insights, trends, and student feedback.
What You’ll Bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing or Education will be highly regarded.
* 2+ years’ experience in student-facing or engagement-focused roles.
* Proven experience in end-to-end event management and delivery of engaging events.
* Proven experience in social media and digital content creation, including promotion strategy and execution.
* Strong understanding of audience engagement, with the ability to create relevant and culturally appropriate content.
* Experience working with diverse or international audiences will be highly regarded.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with a customer-focused approach.
* Highly organised with excellent time management and ability to manage competing priorities.
* Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
* Current Australian driver’s licence and valid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
